When it comes to a lot of things, I always choose what's best for me. Even as little as surfing the web or listening to my MP3 play lists. For that reason, every time I use the computer, I prefer the following to be installed (or already installed) in whatever computer that I'm using so that my entire browsing experience as well as my MP3 sound trip will be a lot more fun and classy.

Favorite Web Browsers:

Flock

Flock is a must in my computer. I love Flock because it integrates social networking and media services as its main feature including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, Yahoo! and yes, Blogger! Then the moment you logged-in to any of the supported social services, Flock can track various updates from your friends, including their profiles, uploaded photos, etc. As a result, you don't need to open your social networking accounts again in a new tab and log-in because Flock already made it convenient for you.

In addition, Flock has special themes that allows you to customize the web browser itself. Thus, you can already personalize your Flock browser using its unique themes that exceptionally suits your personality. It also supports third-party add-ons, including a number of Firefox extensions.

Plus it has a blog editor and reader that lets you post directly into any designated blog. Yet, I don't use this feature anymore since I directly post my blog entries to Blogger itself so as to make sure that it was really posted in there. Other Flock's awesome features include: a feed reader supporting Atom, RSS and Media RSS feeds, a "Media Bar" showing preview of online videos and photos as well as subscription to photo and video feeds.

Ultimately, by utilizing Flock, you made a smart choice for yourself since it brings convenience to your life in this fast-paced era of Internet generation.

Google Chrome

I like this web browser since it's a wide screen kind of web browser and the design of its window is based on Windows Vista. A simple browser without any fancy add-ons and other unnecessary stuff displayed on the toolbar. Plus there's nine website previews seen every time you click a new tab which makes it convenient for you since it 'bookmarks' in a way, your most visited sites through this nine website previews.

It has a full-screen mode that hides the operating system's interface completely and its status bar is hidden whenever it is not being used, giving you a wide screen/full-screen effect. Moreover, Google Chrome makes it possible for you to view a certain web page in a full screen mode. For that reason, you can truly determine if a certain site is indeed visually pleasing or not.

Favorite Media Player:

RealPlayer

Believe it or not folks, as what I've observed, audio sound in RealPlayer is more crisp and much clearer. Plus its version 11 allows me to download my favorite videos on YouTube and on other sites and then get to store them in the computer in a Flash Video format.

Furthermore, whenever I have a new CD and played it to RealPlayer, it instantly rips the entire content of the CD. But you can also select if which track you are only going to copy. Other cool features of RealPlayer include: theater mode or the full screen mode video playback, groovy visualizations such graphical animations or the "light shows" as well as continuous play which loop multiple songs and shuffle play which play tracks at random. However, RealPlayer will be the one to pick the random tracks in order. Let's say: track 1, track 5, track 2, track 6, track 3 and so on.

On the whole, I think those were the significant reasons why I choose RealPlayer as my preferred media player.

Nearly everyone in this day and age are hooked on working out. In fact, a lot of men these days are into bodybuilding. Also a lot of women are into this self-improvement thing so as to look good and ultimately make a good impression on others.

Let's admit that at the present time, having good looks can definitely go a long way. That's why, having enough knowledge on health, fitness, and self-improvement is certainly necessary nowadays in order to be in good form and be away from stress and diseases.

Aside from Men's Health, there are two fitness sites that I'm reading frequently since last year that constantly gives me awe-inspiring fitness ideas as well as incredible knowledge on health.

And so, if you want to build muscle, lose fat, and ultimately perform better, well I think you should check this out.

Writing, Journalism, everything related to publication such as books, magazines, newspapers, and all that are just some of my passions in this existence. What's more, I also love reading. That's why, I always see to it that I'm regularly up-to-date with regard to the trend in the print media particularly with magazines.

Unlike books and newspapers, magazines are classy, and are specially made for its specific target readers and are only released once a month, so you can quite save a lot of time and money since it's only out on a monthly basis.

Whereas with books, it is somewhat expensive and most of all, I don't have the enough time to read books nowadays or actually even watch movies. :-< Newspapers on the other hand, are mundane and it is packed with tons of news stories day after day plus it makes me information overload after reading the entire broadsheet. As a result, I gravitate toward magazines.

So that's it, that's what I like about magazines: specially made in your fields of interests, only published at monthly intervals, time saving and classy.

One of my favorite fruits here on earth is apple. When I was a kid, my mom would always buy me an apple every time I get sick. So now whenever I have a cough or fever, I always eat apples. Because I've learned that apples can help prevent respiratory diseases. Since it has antioxidants that have a beneficial effect on lung function.

More to this, eating apples may also prevent the risk of colon cancer, prostate cancer and lung cancer. Actually, I eat apples with its skin still unpeeled in order to get more nutrients and to ultimately obtain its full nutritional value.

Therefore start eating apples now because an apple a day keeps the doctor away! :o)

Nowadays because of modernity, people are now becoming careless when it comes to nutrition. Most of them seem to ignore the proper way of caring for their body and their entire well-being in general. Many of them disregard the idea of having a healthy lifestyle in this day and age for the reason that nearly everyone seem to follow the trend these days, of what the media is constantly presenting them day by day. But what they didn't know is that their health is already in danger because of this.

Thank God I learned about this Eat Right For Your Blood Type diet. For this reason, I was able to eat the foods that is really appropriate and proper for my body and that is well-suited for my blood type. Actually I discovered about this around the last quarter of 2008 and after that I'm already trying my best to keep up and limit my consumption of foods that may possibly harm my digestive tract and my body as a whole.

Well honestly, I don't drink any alcoholic beverages, so therefore the transition is pretty easy. My blood type is A, thus, I should eat more organic foods. Since according to Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo, a naturopathic physician and the author of the popular books on the Blood Type Diet, if you are a type A person, you should eat fresh, pure, and organic foods. That's why, I always eat tofu nowadays for my protein. What's more, I am now learning to drink soya milk these days. Although I can't stand its taste a bit, but I guess I should learn to tolerate it for the sake of my well-being. Currently, I drink soya milk instead of my usual consumption of the low fat cow's milk.

Moreover, I am now more fond of eating vegetables, tuna, chicken, fruits, and tea, for this are some of the foods that is surely no problem for my body and for my type of blood and will give me the nutrients I need without harming my body. In fact, I don't drink coffee anymore. Instead, I am now more into tea, natural fruit juices, and lots and lots of water. Plus I am now extremely interested in doing yoga. Since gentle exercises such as yoga can really help reduce the stress of the type A people. Because actually, type A's prefer calming, centering exercises.

Since last year, every time I experience pain all over my body, such as back pain, abdominal pain, headache, toothache, and something like that, I immediately grab a tea right away. Whether it's black, green or red, I just need to have a tea! Because I've learned that tea can be a pain reliever too just like Ibuprofen. So you better drink tea whenever you feel pain. And it is definitely a lot cheaper than medicine.

Actually I prefer the black Lipton tea bag steeped in boiled water. But I also drink the ready-to-drink bottled ones like the iced teas of Lipton, the regular black one which has Lemon, Mango, and Peach flavors, as well as its green tea and red tea variants.

However, these days I am now drinking Nestea ready-to-drink bottled iced tea each time I feel pain. I like its Calamansi and Lemon flavors. Plus I also like the powdered ice teas of Lipton and Nestea. Well actually, it is just okay me if its in any form, as long as I can drink tea the minute I feel pain.

Besides, drinking tea has a lot of benefits. It may help you improve your memory and it can delay the onset of Alzheimer. However, what I just didn't like about drinking tea is that, it tarnishes my teeth terribly. Yes, just like coffee and cola, tea tarnishes your teeth also. In the same way, a glass of red wine may be great and healthy at the end of the day, but it stains your teeth as well. But then again, polyphenols in black tea stops plaque from forming on your teeth.

Thus, you should consider drinking tea from now on so that you can just tea your pain away! ;)

Summer Beats

Summertime here in the Philippines is undeniably hot and humid. But for years, I was able to pull through from the warmest time of year because of music. Well, aside from air conditioning, music really helped me a lot in dealing with the intense heat of tropical summer.

And it is undoubtedly true that every time you hear a certain song, it instantly takes you back to something as well as in some places and some moments in your life. Actually, year after year there are various tunes that exceptionally reminds me of summer.

Thus, here are the following albums and singles that ultimately reminds me of the summertime in the past few years.

This album reminds me of taking a beach holiday somewhere around Virginia Beach as well as summertime in the Mid-Atlantic States and LA.

Vitamin C supplements extraordinarily makes me sleepy most of the time.

Hey guys!

I just wanna share with you that taking ascorbic acid daily, particularly Vitamin C supplements, for nearly two weeks now, extraordinarily makes me sleepy most of the time. On the other hand, of course, I definitely know that taking Vitamin C is exceptionally great and beneficial for the health and all that. Yet one thing though, I just can't incredibly stand the so-called "side effects" or the unexpected result of taking Vitamin C supplements daily. It makes me drowsy every now and then. #:-S

But then, I think I need to put up with this sleepy upshot thing in order for me to be hale and hearty throughout this hot summer season. :-S

Anyhow, hope this finds everyone well and enjoying the sunshine, the warm weather, the dog days, and most of all the intense heat of summer! (yes, March is the beginning of summertime here in the Philippines and ends in May).

Hey folks! :D

How are you these days? Well, in my case I've been through a lot these past few weeks most especially during the final week of February as well as this first week of March. Whew! #:-S

To cut a long story short, I've been suffering from odontalgia (toothache) for two weeks now perhaps due to the emergence of my wisdom teeth! And up to now, I'm still tolerating the mind-numbing pain caused by this useless growing wisdom teeth. ~x( X-( :-&

Moreover, I just wanna share with you guys that I am extremely despondent once again in this day age. Yes! I was like extremely unhappy and discouraged over again due to lots of unpredictable things full of problems that had happened in the past couple of weeks. Which incredibly overwhelmed me as well as made me feel that I already had enough of everything that is currently and entirely happening in my life right now.

Anyhow, I'm kind of reflecting on it nowadays as well as trying to heal from all that... #:-S

A Winning Comeback

Britney Spears - Circus

To tell the truth, the moment I heard that Britney Spears is once again releasing a new studio album just a year after her fifth studio album, Blackout was released, I immediately pay no attention to it for the reason that I thought it was just a put-up job or something that is unreal or made-up.

But see, I was wrong. She really released a new album! :D

And I must admit that among the pop princesses at that time (Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore) of the late 90s teen pop, Britney is the one and only pop princess that I got my eye on.

And as far as I can tell, I was only 10 years old then when she first appeared on the boob tube in an international music channel with her debut hit single, ...Baby One More Time.

To be honest, I find the album title as some kind of a second-rate and an emulation of Christina Aguilera's Back To Basics album in 2006.

Because of you know, the "circus" thing and all that. And as a matter of fact, it is somewhat plain as the nose on your face as well as noticeably and deliberately resembling Aguilera's third full-length English studio album although let's say it is fairly unintentional.

I find the songs in the album as a feel-good dance album with bits and bobs of the 80's synthpop fused together with electropop. But then again, the album is still predominantly pop possibly due to Spears' pop princess/pop star status and reputation.

What's more, Circus is undeniably better and smashing than Blackout. And if truth be told, Circus is the second album of Britney that I have so far after her greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative last 2004.

On the other hand, here are the following tracks in the album that I became hooked on:

1. Out From Under
2. Circus
3. Kill The Lights
4. If U Seek Amy
5. Lace And Leather
6. Shattered Glass
7. Blur

At the end of the day, I think the most important thing that I learned with Britney is that, in life mistakes are really bound to happen no matter how good and how great you are. And at times you can really get it wrong and mess up at some time in your life regardless of how famous you are, how fortunate you are, how rich you are and all that. Because in the long run, your strength of character is what really matters most in this existence and in this lifetime. Plus you should really aim to live it up as much as possible so that somehow you will be able to pull through from the harsh reality in this existence.

Besides, most importantly you learned from the blunders you did back in the day.

¡Españoles luchan!

Last November 2008, I bought a copy of Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits, Christina Aguilera's first greatest hits album, along with the self-titled debut album of American Idol season 7 runner-up David Archuleta. I believe it is incredibly amazing to see that these albums are from the artists with Spanish descent. Yeah, you absolutely heard it right! Christina Aguilera and David Archuleta are both Spanish descent. Or in short, Hispanic.

Needless to say, I already know in the past that Christina Aguilera has this Spanish roots from the time she released her first Spanish-language studio album, Mi Reflejo nearly a decade a ago. In spite of that, I was utterly knocked for six the minute I discovered that even this newcomer, American Idol season 7 runner-up David Archuleta, is Hispanic too. :))

Anyhow, I'm glad that most of the albums that I bought so far these past several years are from the artists with Hispanic roots. Which somehow made me feel exceptionally at home at the end of the day... <):)

It was around September 2008 when I initially learned that Christina Aguilera will be releasing a new album once again scheduled for a November 2008 release. And as a matter of fact, I was really looking forward to it in order to see her latest innovative style which is you know, she constantly does ever since during her Stripped days.

To be honest, when I first heard her first single, Keeps Gettin' Better, on the first week of September 2008 after it leaked in the cyberspace, I completely dislike it right away and it immediately gave me a hesitancy to buy the album. However, the minute I pinned my ears back to the track several times, I ultimately end up enjoying it.

For this reason, I bought a copy the album and to my amazement, I was extraordinarily enthralled by the futuristic, space-age like sounds and rhythm of the four new tracks (though the two of it is a future-shock re-made version of her earlier hits, Genie In A Bottle and Beautiful).

And at this point, I can really say that the four new modernistic tracks are genuinely one of a kind in this day and age!

In fact, I'm pinning my ears back to it up till now. Plus it comes with a bonus DVD which has about 10 music videos in it of the chart-topping hits she had back in the day.

And without a doubt, Christina really knows how to reinvent her music and her flair every so often.

On the other hand, here are the following space-age tracks that I currently have a thing about:

1. Genie 2.0
2. Keeps Gettin' Better
3. Dynamite
4. You Are What You Are (Beautiful)

On the whole, I guess this album is somewhat a collector's items of all Christina Aguilera's smash hits back in the day. That is compiled all together and which will somehow serve as a sort of remembrance for her fans during the course of her decade-long ride in the music industry that absolutely made her a household name.

However, I was a bit disappointed with this album since some of the chart-topping songs she had back in the day were not included in this collection such as The Voice Within, Can't Hold Us Down, Reflection and all that. As well as some of her Spanish songs too are not included in this Greatest Hits album. :(

Back in the day, I fairly underestimated, devalued as well as played down the ability and competence of the various winners of the American reality TV show, American Idol.

However, the minute Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks appeared in the limelight and have successfully demonstrated their worth in the music scene by doing their own thing along with runners-up, Bo Bice, Katharine McPhee, Blake Lewis and now, David Archuleta. And at this point, I can now utterly say that I was totally off beam! That I certainly misjudged the capability of the American reality TV show, American Idol to produce future music icons/superstars.

Nonetheless, I bought David Archuleta's self-titled debut album for the reason that the nature of his songs strikes a chord within me and extraordinarily jogs my memory which remarkably takes me back to the music I grew up with during my childhood and teenage years (I'm 20 now yet I always wanted to remain 16 or 17 forever!!:)) if it's just possible!). Hehe =))

Moreover, this lad extraordinarily impressed my fussy taste when it comes to music. He outstandingly proves the whole world that he can really hit the big time and dominate the mainstream pop music in this day and age. What's more, he also demonstrates that he can as well go beyond or do better than, otherwise reposition himself alongside Jesse McCartney, Chris Brown, the Jonas Brothers, Zac Efron, Corbin Bleu, and the rest despite the fact that he just came from the American reality TV show, American Idol.

On the other hand, here is the list of my fave tracks in the album:

For the most part, I can surely say that this album is just the thing! The record is just right for a newcomer who is just starting out and producing buds. And if you get to pin your ears back to this album you'll eventually question yourself if this kid is really a greenhorn in the business.

Happy New Year everyone! =D>

Wow! It's January by now, a new year once again, and this is unbelievably my first ever blog post this year 2009! <:-P How exceptionally amazing! Whew! #:-S :D

Anyhow, I just wanna share with you guys that these past few days, the temperature here in Iloilo City dramatically went down at around 20-23°C (68-73°F) which is you know, rarely happens here in the city or even in the entire country for that matter...

What's more, some places here in the Philippines all the more so has a temperature that is as low as 8°C (46°F)! Which is for the most part around the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) that includes Baguio City, Benguet, Mountain Province, and so on... just to name a few... >:)

On the other hand, some high and hilly places throughout the country nowadays incredibly has a chilly temperature too such as Tagaytay City which is about 12-15°C (53-59°F). In addition, most key cities in the Philippines today such as Manila, the capital, has a temperature below 20°C. While Cebu City, Davao City, Iloilo City, and the rest has around 20°C average temperature.

Whew! #:-S

And folks, believe it or not, some had already departed this life just simply because of the extreme cold temperature that is currently stepping in all over the Philippine archipelago these days... :-< #-o :-S

Yet sometimes it is extremely upsetting to think that you know, certain weather and climate changes like this can sometimes be exceedingly overwhelming. That the chilly atmosphere has its pros and cons as well. Plus I guess this is once again a piece of Mother Nature's way of turning the tables to us...

In the end, I reflect that this cold weather can really be a blessing and a curse at the same time which is something we must get through and ultimately learn from... O:-)

Year after year, we hear lots of Christmas songs and carols being played everywhere. Here in the Philippines you can already start hearing various Christmas songs around the corner starting September 1st which is typically the beginning of the longest Christmas season here in the country which normally lasts until Epiphany.

Oh! For some of you who didn't know it yet, The Philippines is known around the world for having the world's longest Christmas season. How exceptionally wonderful isn't it?! :D #:-S

Anyhow speaking of Christmas songs, last Fall 2006, which is about two years ago, I bought My Kind of Christmas on eBay Philippines, Christina Aguilera's Christmas album to date. Although it has been released for nearly a decade already, I believe that the album still exudes and exemplifies the breathtaking atmosphere and above all the exceptional spirit of the Yuletide season yet with an urban twist and vibe and all that. B-)

What's more, this album certainly gets you into high spirits as well as into an extraordinary holiday mood right away! :o)

Nonetheless, here are my favorite tracks in the album:

Pop is Back!

These past couple of months I observed that majority of the recent music album releases has a Pop music elements in it and in fact, most of it came from the hottest music stars of today!

For this reason, I find this fourth quarter of 2008 as a one of a kind season where Pop music is having its remarkable come back and surprisingly returning as the hip thing once again in the current mainstream music scene. And I guess it is obvious by now that Pop music will again be the cutting-edge music genre starting from this fourth quarter of the year up until 2009 or more.

Blogs are the cyber-thing nowadays and it is practically all over the World Wide Web in this day and age. As a matter of fact, blogs became popular and wide-ranging for about half a decade now.

Actually there are different kinds of blogs that are existing in the information superhighway at present. These are personal blogs, corporate blogs, political blogs, travel blogs, fashion blogs, education blogs, niche blogs, and so on. For more about this, you can check it out here.

Additionally, blogs made me learn countless stuff under the sun most especially in relation to my field of interests and know-how. And these past few months, I've been hooked on reading numerous blogs that extraordinarily amazes and fascinates me at the same time.

These past few months I'm pretty unsure if I should really change my three-year-old Addict Mobile SIM and then switch to a new one. Perhaps to Smart Gold or even to the recently launched Smart Gold Lite Plan.

Yet, up to now I'm still hesitant if its already time to replace my Addict SIM with a new one and subsequently obtain a new mobile number, new mobile services, and all the stuff like that. #:-S #-o x_x

Hmmm... :-? What do you think folks? :-c

On the contrary, there is a part of me that wants to keep the SIM and continue using it because I reflect that it is already rare and exceptional nowadays to have an Addict Mobile SIM. However, there is a part of me too that doesn't want the SIM any longer and is getting interested and persuaded as well as looking forward to acquire the new SIM offered in the market by SMART Communications and then get hooked once more by the new mobile service currently available which is SMART Gold.

I certainly know that the both SIMs are still the same only just in a different label. But on the other hand, I also want to acquire the latest SMART Gold Plans either the regular or the light one so as for me be hip as well as to be avant-garde at the same time.

Nonetheless, until now I am still extremely undecided and all at sea in relation to this stuff. @-) :-w :-<>

Manic Monday

White and blue-collar workers in the late 80s and in the early 90s believed that Monday is undeniably a busy day. Similarly, I was able to confirm it by now that Monday is indeed the most wearying day of the week by actually going through it. As a matter of fact, I confirmed it during the first Monday of this month where I'm starting to be insomniac! Yeah! Believe it or not, I'm becoming wakeful these days. I'm unable to sleep by now during siesta as well as during twilight which I usually carry out without problems during the past couple of months. Thus currently, when I'm trying to force my self to sleep, I eventually just end up tossing and turning on the bed.

On the other hand, every Monday I usually sleep during siesta and for the most part during the sunset in order for me to top-up the lacking sleeping hours that I missed out the night before. And so that I won't be sleepy while performing my tasks in the office at night.

In contrast, I guess the primary reason why I cannot sleep nowadays during siesta or during the sunset, it's because my so-called body clock changes to the normal PHT time zone during weekends, while it adjusts again during weekdays.

For this reason, I think Monday is incredibly manic for me - working overnight, while being awake during the daytime and being wakeful during the the afternoon. Thus, it makes you dog-tired at the end of the day. Well, I'm trying to be used to it right now. On the whole, who ever said that life was fair?! #-o

Washed and Dried

Next month (November 2008), signifies my five freshly-laundered-loyal years of having the exceptional services of Mr. Labada, a Laundry and Dry Cleaning shop here in Iloilo City.

Although it sounds cheesy and egoistic bragging about this as well as being loud and proud and all that, but then, this is so important and special for me since for the past five years, I've learned the value of caring for my own wardrobe (my Penshoppe and Dickies clothes for that matter) and making some of it last for about half a decade already without any damage such as tear and shrinkage, is definitely a remarkable personal fulfillment for me.

In the same way, having Mr. Labada a part of my lifestyle throughout these years has truly been satisfying and delightful. It incredibly makes my way of life extraordinarily comfortable and at ease without the fuss of worrying about the condition of my clothes and for the most part my external appearance as well.

Additionally, for the past five years, I no longer rely on the services of our family launderer in washing my outdoor wear.

On the other hand, during my high school and college years, my peers would always ask me if why would I constantly go for Mr. Labada to wash my outdoor clothes though we still have a launderer at home. For this reason, I must say that their quality of service and the care that they constantly provide for my clothing is truly beyond compare.

On the whole, Mr. Labada makes my clothes durable, smells constantly fresh and still looks good and quite new up to now. And it has already been part of the F To Tha L-S! lifestyle for five years now since 2003. And oh, and I love the refreshing smell of Downy! ;)

Stay the Night

Next Tuesday will be my third month of working and staying the night here in ESPC. Nonetheless, it also means that I've been working for almost one season already.

If truth be told, these past three months of having my nightly duty has allowed me to be aware of the current impact of the nighttime industry that is presently dominating the country in this day and age.

On the other hand, I also observe that there are a lot of night shift workers by now compared to the previous years. Because back in the day, the only night shift workers that I could apparently witness were the ones working at the hospital.

For this reason, I think the time will come that nearly all of the workers here in the Philippines are already into these various night shift jobs. And at the end of the day, carrying out a night shift duty is just a way of responding to the call of times.

Moreover, I guess most night shift workers in this day and age mainly came from the various IT service providers as well as from numerous Telco industries that are currently sprouting on the Philippine shores which are mainly based in foreign parts.

In the same way, I believe this current global trend will ultimately prevail in this era of extensive globalization and ultramodern standard of living. In the long run, the Philippines turns out to be the center of the existing global village.

A Catch-22 with Blackout

These past few years, electrical energy was already an alarming concern and problem of the people living and residing here in Iloilo City. I guess this is also one of the manifestations as well as the upshots of the existing Global Warming that is downright shaking the planet at this time.

Thus, power outage is actually the main problem of the City of Iloilo for several years now. On the other hand, the prevalence of blackout here in the city usually last for a couple of hours though sometimes it resumes right away in no less than a few minutes. But then again, whenever there is a typhoon or every time the weather is not so good, the power is completely lost for several hours.

For instance, this is evident when the entire City of Iloilo as well as its neighboring towns and districts were directly hit by the upsetting and horrifying Typhoon Fengshen (Frank) back in June 2008 and enormously submerged Iloilo City as well the Iloilo Province which resulted to a full-blown power loss for several days and even months in some places around the city and in the province.

Nevertheless, back in 2005, the power supply of the city was already inadequate. As a result, this is often the cause of the frequent blackouts to date.

For this reason, I believe that the local government should take the bull by the horns, to do something about this crisis as soon as possible. Since the public is already distraught and burdened with regard to this matter for many years now.

Mother Nature turns the tables

I incredibly noticed that these past several months was such an appalling and devastating times here in the Philippines due to the so-called climate change. In addition, this was indeed a gruesome year for everyone living here most especially in the Iloilo Province as well as here in Iloilo City in particular (see Iloilo Flood Aid).

In fact, I still remember that back in the day, about a couple of years ago, the devastating upshots of Global Warming is already prevailing at that time here in the city.

For instance, it becomes extremely hot during midday around the environs and it will eventually rain (sometimes result to a heavy downpour along with thunders and a flash of lightning) during siesta time which will sometimes last until twilight and even until nighttime if there is a monsoon approaching the Philippine archipelago.

Nonetheless, I believe that the widespread climate change that is presently occurring throughout the world in this day and age has definitely something to do with lifestyle. The way of life, the standard of living, the way people live for the past several decades severely altered the natural and normal function of the earth.

For this reason, by working this together we can solve the climate crisis that we are currently going through.

Wild Hope and Departure Sound Trip

It is nearly a month by now since I bought Wild Hope, Mandy Moore's fifth studio album and Departure, Jesse McCartney's third studio album. And from then on, I've been hooked listening to them the whole time. Whether I'm at home or at work.

Mandy Moore – Wild Hope

It was Spring 2007, when I initially learned that Mandy is releasing a new album, but this time with her own compositions. And when her new album was finally released in Summer 2007, I was incredibly surprised by the groundbreaking genre that Mandy has created in this day and age. Extremely different and far from the bubblegum pop music that she was famous of back in the day.

My first impression of Wild Hope was good because of the song Extraordinary. Yet at that point, I still doesn't like the album since I perceived it as boring, another acoustic-rock like sounding and a laid-back kind of music. Too far from her former albums that is pop, upbeat and contemporary. As a result, I ignored the thought of purchasing it.

On the contrary, I already bought the album a few weeks ago (after a year and a half since it was released), and my past unfavorable perception and remark concerning it eventually disappeared by this time.

Thus, I now find the album sedative, and it makes me incredibly nostalgic of the Fall season. Additionally, from the moment I heard Few Days Down, I eventually enjoyed it and it made me think of taking time out at downtown LA, having a cup of coffee at the Parisian boulevard, and having a leisurely walk around the extraordinary streets of Europe. It actually made me desperately wants a “few days down.”

On the other hand, the other songs in the album are great too... In fact, here is the list of my favorite tracks on the album:

Moreover, I recommend this as well to those folks out there who seek laid-back music. Who just wants to chill out and take pressure off their lives and reflect.

Likewise this album is just right for a sound trip this Fall as well as during rainy and gloomy days. In addition, try to burn an aromatherapy candle while listening to the album and you will eventually get of rid stress and it makes you feel better after. ;)

I got the chance to listen to all the tracks in album around July 2008 through IMEEM, and I must admit that the entire songs in the album eventually conforms to my musical taste since it's urban-inspired (a blend of contemporary R&B and Hip-Hop and of course with a hint of Pop in it) since the artist is undoubtedly a Pop singer, Jesse McCartney, who became a household name through Disney back in the day.

Departure definitely produced a revolutionary image for this pop star. This album unveils a grown-up Jesse McCartney which is now more flashy and loud. On the other hand, this album also emblems a remarkable shift of musical genre for this pop star.

For this reason, I recommend this album for those who loves R&B and Hip-Hop music but can't still do away with Pop music elements. Furthermore, if you like music that are sensual, sexy, and flashy, you most likely enjoy this. In the same way, if you like Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown's current musical style and sounds, you will eventually like this too.

¡Hola mis amigos!

I guess I’m currently getting insane because of writing. Writing makes me crazy right now and at the same time it sucks the life out of my mind!

Several hours have already gone by and I'm still thinking if what kind of topic I should write about as of the moment. You know, a kind of topic that in some way will enable to help you out which is of course in line with my area of interest and know-how.

Then again, I guess I'm constantly posting new blog posts each day and at some point, I think it is amazingly unbelievable how I manage to produce new write-ups daily... maybe because this is my work and I should do this kind of stuff – to put pen to paper. :-<

Nevertheless, I'm still learning to enjoy this kind of activity until now day after day. Though one thing that I must learn to endure is by being information overload and mentally drained at the end of the day. Oh well, who ever said that life was fair?! #-o (Think positive Lloyd!)

On the other hand, I love drinking Nai Cha at Chowking every midnight during our break for weeks now. It is cool and refreshing and it truly rejuvenates me. In fact, it is one of my favorite drinks.

It’s fall by now in the States and in Europe and I extremely miss the autumn so much! And so, I actually even set a fall/autumn wallpaper on my computer here in my workstation just to feel a bit of the atmosphere virtually.

I also miss Spanish and Chinese these days… Thus, I make sure that I have my collection of Spanish and Chinese MP3s so as to keep me from being nostalgic.

I’m also looking forward for Starbucks to be finally launched here in Iloilo City… I can’t wait!

Reflections on My Dad, My Hero by Kris Aquino

Through the years reading inspirational and self-improvement media such as books and magazines made me discover what life is actually all about as well as it gives me useful ideas and significant information in order to pull through from the tough demands of daily life. And at the same time, it helps me develop my personality as well as improve my attitude and disposition in life.

The article My Dad, My Hero written by Kris Aquino on the August-September issue of her K: The Kris Aquino Magazine, makes it possible for all of us to be further acquainted with the kind of life lived by her father, national hero Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. which I believe that was truly beyond compare, admirably extraordinary, and worth mentioning.

In her article, Kris shares her early memories about her father and how Ninoy tremendously suffered behind bars. She also recounts how she was able to get through from the harsh reality at that time considering that she was just only a toddler when that thing happened in their family.

On the word of Kris, her dad celebrated her dreams, encouraged the fire to burn in her, and instilled in her the confidence to believe that she had in her to be the biggest star.

She thinks that “as a parent letting your child know that you have no doubts or qualms about what your child can achieve will help your child achieve so much more” which is incredibly true.

In the same way, I think parents in this day and age should learn to consistently believe in the talent and capacity of their child. Since by having confidence in your kid that he has the ability to make a difference as he continue living, he has the power to transform the world into a better place to live.

I also believe what she wrote that success really begins with initially dreaming, and having faith that what you ardently desire can turn into reality.

Moreover, I reflect that if you truly aspire to achieve something, you must learn to be positive enough and consistently believe in your dreams that it will ultimately come true no matter what.

As said by Kris, her Dad was very successful in instilling in her the innate drive to succeed. Ninoy's early achievements proved to Kris that youth was an excellent time to make a go of her dreams.

Nonetheless, I believe parents should primarily motivate their kids to go after their dreams while they are still young and full of beans. Although life is unfair and soaring is difficult, aiming only the best for your child will truly make a difference in his way of life in the future.

From Ninoy, Kris come to embrace the reality that you become what you set out to be by working harder and giving more than anybody else..

If truth be told, hard work and determination are the key in attaining great things in life.

She also mentioned that, “there is nothing wrong with dreaming big, but you must be prepared for the demands of big dreams.”

On the other hand, Uncle Ben also said to Peter Parker that, "with great power comes great responsibility." In order words, I guess there is absolutely no problem with regard to dreaming as long as you are ready to face the price of having big dreams. That means you must be geared up for much greater expectations, extreme responsibilities and demands from the society.

As stated by Kris, Ninoy “believed in the value of education.”

Similarly, I believe that education is a vital tool in transforming the society and the country as a whole. Through education, people will be able to gain more knowledge so as to be awakened from the harsh reality.

Furthermore, by means of education, people will be able to learn to speak their minds as well as to shout out loud for what is good and rational. In the same way, they will also learn to fight for their own rights and eventually stand for their own ground.

As stated by Kris, “Ninoy loved our country and our people. He loved the Philippines enough to unabashedly proclaim that the Filipino is worth dying for.”

At the end of the day, I believe that Senator Ninoy Aquino serves as a modern-day instrument for change by way of releasing the Philippines and the Filipinos from the autocratic rule of the Marcos administration.

According to Kris, her mom, former president Corazon Aquino, encouraged the plan of her nephews to create yellow “baller bands” imprinted with the message, THE FILIPINO IS WORTH DYING FOR because this was a way to get her dad’s sacrifice and his belief in the Filipino in the consciousness of the youth. She wants to help remind people of this.

On the whole, if you think you carry out what you believe is right and good, as well as if you think you fight for justice and freedom, sign up now and be counted as a hero!

For this reason, most people from different walks of life these days tend to spend their leisure time during weekends and holidays in various movie theaters and picture houses in order for them to chill out, loosen up and certainly have a break from the strenuous activities that occurred during the weekdays in school and in office.

Some like comedies, action movies, dramas, melodramas, horrors, as well as thrillers. But then again whatever it may be, at the end of the day they watch movies so as to enjoy and be entertained despite the fact that life nowadays is extremely difficult.

On the other hand, I reflect that watching movies is not just completely for entertainment. However, it allows us to paint the town red for the reason that some films gives us a picture of reality as well as the slice of life once in a while.

Back in the day somewhere around 2000, I’m already fond of surfing the Internet. Almost everyday I constantly check out the hottest trends on the web. Looking into what’s in and what’s out in the cyberspace. Until in my college years, I continue to be addicted to the Internet as well as on all the stuff that has something to do with the computer.

Then four years later, I finally graduated in college. Initially, a couple of months after I graduated, I became incredibly apprehensive if what kind of job will I able to land into 60 days after school is over.

Nonetheless, I was so thankful from up above that I was able to land into a job that in one way or another I’ve been passionate about ever since in my preteen years – Technology, Internet, Communication and in particular, Writing.

However, I didn’t really imagine that writing, one of my passions in this existence will be my first-ever bread and butter in this lifetime.

I guess these kinds of unforeseen things in life only shows that life is truly surprising and astonishing at the same time.

Oh Well…! :-< :| But so far these past few days I’ve learned to absorb the proper way of logically understanding (with a bit of luck) the essence of all of this… of all the things that is currently taking place in my life right now. And I can’t believe that my life at the present time will be this so fast-paced… so fast... to the point that I should learn to do all that I can so as to catch up to the demands of daily life along with its strenuous daily routine.

When all's said and done, I reflect that what matters most is your optimism, and extraordinary confidence so as to make it through day by day. Moreover, by remaining faithful to the Heavenly Father without a second thought and ultimately trusting His will, is what I believe is the most important thing in this lifetime.

Wow! I truly can't believe that it's finally September 1st today. Time flew so fast... In fact, I reflect that it was not so long ago that I started working and now I will be on my second month working here in ESPC. Incredibly amazing and awe-inspiring for me at the same time. I think if you will going to ask me if I'm happy in my life right now, perhaps I can say that there is a part of me that's saying, "No, I ain't happy." Though there is a part of me too that's saying, "Yes, I'm happy at the moment."

Living one day at a time... you know, above anything else, music is what truly keeps me going, and writing too... but not the writing job that I'm into right now... I just want to write in the magazines and in broadsheets but not for other people (like being a ghostwriter for that matter).

On the whole, Music, Writing, Technology, Fashion, Health, Fitness, Wellness and Travel – I think these things always keeps trying and pushy in life.

Lately, I've been sick and tired to work every night for the reason that these past few days I've been to a sudden work-related ordeal. Unexpected, unanticipated and above all a dreadful surprise, which in due course resulted to a punishing problem.

Day-to-day in our lives, we come across numerous blessings, gifts, and the like that can make us blissful but everyday too, we also encounter problems, difficulties and trials that can make us despondent.

I don't understand why there are really people who wants to bring you down and make you feeling low and weak. I know we are just human beings, and being human, we are extraordinarily incapable of pleasing everyone at the same time.

Then again, I yearn for these people to go back over and at least give each individual the ability to have one more opportunity to prove their worth and their aptitude in working their ass out just to please their penny-pinching being.

In life, there are really moments that you need to express yourself, the real you... To stand up for yourself, to raise your voice and be assertive of what you truly feel in a certain instant.

Sometimes it comes to a point that you should not keep quiet and you feel that you really need to stand your ground no matter what. To carry out what you believe and think is right and appropriate and proper for your well-being.

For instance, believe it or not, it really pisses me off if someone is trying to manipulate me, telling me what should I supposed to do or not, what should I supposed to act, feel, behave and should done in a certain way.

But I would like to say to each and everyone of you that I'm going to express my sentiments, feelings, emotions and opinions no matter what and no one can ever can break it!

I will not let anyone break me, and I will ultimately make someone feel that I am not the one who they can easily dictate and control.

If truth be told, these people who are trying to bring me down and make me feel low can't easily affect me of their non sense shit and damn incompetent mindset, and second-rate trashy existence.

No one can ever break me or make feel that I don't deserve what I want.

And to anyone who are trying to break me, or to screw me up – GO TO HELL!!!

Six years after graduating in college, I finally started the ball rolling with the aim of reaching my aspiration as soon as possible and to live my dreams expectantly one day at a time.

First off, I bend over backward to have another look on my existence in the course of continuous reflection by means of traveling, with the intention of witnessing further the beauty of God’s creation and with the purpose of discovering my inner peace once more and my genuine happiness.

The moment I returned home in Barcelona after a breathtaking spiritual restoration in India, I began establishing myself by writing my first techno-thriller novel.

Soon, after a year of still finishing the novel and waiting for a Publishing Company to tie-up with me so as to publish my very first novel, I went to Los Angeles to try my ultimate passion, which is singing and in order for me to get a recording deal through Hollywood Records.

Luckily, while in the interior of the Hollywood Records’ main recording center, I met Philip Edward Ginsberg, my American-Filipino classmate back in the day who is now a famous WWE Wrestler and a multitalented recording artist at the same time.

If truth be told, Philip assisted me so as to get a recording deal on the double with Hollywood Records. Fortunately, I was able to sign up a record with the label and after which I ask him to collaborate with me in one of my songs in my album.

After a year of successfully recording a total of 24 tracks for my album, I am now a breakthrough Pop Star and with sounds of Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Pop Rock, and Contemporary Christian Music genre. With English, Spanish, Chinese, Italian, French, Tagalog and Hiligaynon songs in a two-disc breakthrough album.

While on a road tour across America with Philip, we turn up the radio and tuned in to one of the hottest Radio Stations in the States and all of a sudden we heard the fantastic voice of the Radio DJ, it was Hazel Mae Gayatgay! Absolutely, it was Hazel Mae, our classmate in college too, who was part of the band I set-up before - the Banda de Loca or The Crazy Band! And I screamed at full volume in front of the radio.

Yeah, she was now a superstar Radio DJ in the US and was distinguished because of her extraordinary voice conquering the airwaves of the US mainland.

While in the midst of promoting my album, Philip went back to New York City to get back to his wrestling job at WWE.

I eventually pop round to the Philippines since Penshoppe; a renowned clothing brand in the Philippines offered me to endorse the brand once again.

Surprisingly, Dannuel Uy, my Chinese-Filipino classmate back in college, now owns Golden ABC, the company that owns the Penshoppe clothing brand. Wow!

As I turned on the boob tube in my hotel room, I saw a news flash from CNN that Dannuel joins the Top 10 Wealthiest People in the World. In fact, Dannuel currently owns 30 top companies in the Orient, such as in the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and in some parts of the world. Simply Amazing!

Oh wait! As far as I could remember, that girl… that girl… the girl in the boob tube, the news anchor in CNN who just reported the Top 10 Wealthiest People in the World was no other than, Maybelline Matavia! Yeah! Believe it or not, it was actually Madam! My Noonie back in the day now works in the leading news program in the world, CNN. She decided to be a broadcaster in exchange for her Diva music career in the Philippines as the Asia’s hummingbird.

The following day, as I am getting ready for the photo shoots for the newest campaign collection of Penshoppe, in the dressing room, I was struck by a familiar face of the current in-house model. I marvel and I speculate… Yeah! It was truly Romeo Ignacio “Roi” Javellana, my classmate in my college years too, who is as well a recognizable face in the modeling industry.

Roi is now a well-liked model of nearly all apparel companies in the Philippines and in Europe. Indeed, he is a sought-after model in this day in age. Though aside from that, he still manages to run his chain of hotels in Spain, Mexico and throughout the Latin America.

Before I went back to the States to take care of my music career, I am now a Penshoppe Model once again and at this time I tie-up with the brand so as to produce a personally designed clothing line – Lloydy from the Block, an urban-inspired garments for the edgy teens and a fragrance line – The Francis Lloyd Sauza Fragrance by Penshoppe.

After that, I went back to Los Angeles and while at home in Beverly Hills taking pleasure in the spring break, Viacom International, the franchise holder of MTV Music Television called me up whether I’m willing to host MTV TRL in Times Square at New York City and at one fell swoop giving me an exceptional advantage to be an official MTV VJ too in MTV Asia which is based in Singapore and in MTV Philippines in Global City, Taguig which in some way reunited me with my MTV Family.

At this time, I am additionally known as MTV VJ Francis Lloyd in MTV Asia and in MTV Philippines and at the same time an MTV TRL Host in Times Square, New York City.

While having my hosting stint at MTV, Warner Brothers Pictures, and Archie Comic Publications, Inc. offered me a unique opportunity to be a movie star. A budding movie star in Dan Brown’s Digital Fortress, Nicholas Sparks’ A Walk To Remember 2 and Archie and the Gang. All the films that I will be doing were originated from the various print media – novels and the popular comic book.

While filming Archie and the Gang in New Jersey, I was able to meet my co-stars for the first time, but wait, who is that bleached-blond bombshell in sexy clothing? Oh my God! Gee, it was…

Catherine Tugublimas! She is in the US at the present time and a Hollywood actress. Being too far from the country lass she has been before back in Oton. And she looks like an American now… A likeness of Miss America!

In fact, she plays Veronica in our movie Archie and the Gang! “Double Surprise.” Whoa! I’m so at ease if it is going to be like that! Hehe :o)

Plus I discovered that Jerome Austin Golipatan, my classmate in college, was the Film Editor of many Warner Bros. Pictures’ films since I saw his name on the back flap as well as in the inlay of the DVD and Blu-ray versions of the Warner Brothers' movies.

When on earth I got time, I stroll around downtown Los Angeles and sometimes I even reach San Francisco just having my leisurely walk on the block.

Being a Visual Artist and having my area of expertise in Computer Graphics Lay outing, Street Graffiti, and Painting, I truly love the outdoors.

Yet, on one occasion while walking around on the boulevard of Paris, I saw Marie Michel Sumayo!

Michel now owns a branch of her Chocolate and Coffee Café in Paris and indeed she has her own Chocolate Village company in Frankfurt, Germany and in Switzerland. Full of chocolate confectionaries in partnership with Dannuel Uy, our classmate back in the day, now one of Top 10 Wealthiest People in the World!

Michel also joined with me in my Lloydielicious! Restaurant business in Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, which has branches in Seattle, Barcelona, Shanghai, Makati and Iloilo City.

It was late in summer when I got the chance to be a sportsperson once again. To play Tennis, Football and Taekwondo.

While playing Tennis at the Atlanta Sports Center, I come across several Badminton champs and ultimately got the chance to observe their tryout in the sports hall. There I met the head and the organizer of the Badminton League, and it was my classmate in college! It was Kerry Mikhail Esteban, now a legendary Badminton and Volleyball Sports’ enthusiast.

He is now based in Boston and directs the preparation and the practices of the US National Badminton Association in Atlanta.

After spending out on the sports ground of the Atlanta Sports Center, my representative in the Philippines get in touch with me that SMART Communications is asking me to be their Telecom Spokesperson from this time forth. In addition, Andrea Trivilegio, also my classmate in college, is now the Chairperson of SMART Communications, Inc., a subsidy of Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT).

While in Makati City, inside the head office of SMART Communications, Inc., I was introduced to the latest endorser of PLDT and SMART and at the same time a prominent Pepsi Icon, and believe it or not, it was Ma. Teresa de los Santos!

Teresa is also the most recent UNICEF’s Ambassador of Goodwill representing the Philippines. And I asked her to partner with me in supporting Charities such as Coalition against Domestic Violence, Defenders of Wildlife, and MaAga ang Pasko sa Jollibee.

In New York City, I launched The F To Tha L-S! Magazine, my most personal and direct undertaking up to date which recounts my daily life behind closed doors and visibly as an icon written and documented in a glossy magazine edited and formulated by yours truly and it is in print every season, certainly with the unreserved assistance of my links in various industries and Kristin Dabalus, the President of the Global Cosmopolitan Lifestyle.

Kristin is now based in London and branded as the World’s Fashion Guru and Consultant which was centered on her areas of expertise: fashion, media, culinary arts, entertaining, decorating, crafts, design, merchandising, and style.

In this stage in my existence, I realized that I need to further expand my horizons, to embrace supplementary studies in the field of communication, arts, music, geography and history. Thus, I went to Harvard University at Cambridge, Massachusetts looking forward to achieve it.

When I was walking at the access strip of the Humanities Building in Harvard, I unintentionally bumped into Rebo Salvalosa, my Cum Laude classmate back in the day!

Rebo is now the Administrator of Organic Sciences in Harvard. How exceptionally marvelous!

In fact, Rebo was recently awarded by the Time Magazine as the “Person of the Year” because of his precious input to the ground-breaking macrobiotic medications that trembles humanity in this period.

After a month, I decided to go to England, to make inquiries at the University of Oxford.

Inside the Bodleian Library, the principal library of the University of Oxford, and the second-largest library in the United Kingdom, I met Shellamie dela Cruz, my other Cum laude classmate during the college years.

Shellamie is now a superintendent at the University of Oxford and the Head of the Oxford University Press. She constantly keeps an eye on hundreds of published distinguished books of scholarly and general interest, including the renowned Oxford English Dictionary.

Before leaving Europe, I break in my journey to Italy mostly in Rome, to have some sort of a so-called pilgrimage before getting back to work in the United States.

While attending a serene traditional Latin mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, I met Mailyn Reyes and Rosalie Talamor, my classmates in college. As you would have thought, Mailyn and Rosalie is now a nun at this time and wants to spend the rest of their lives serving in the Holy See.

Moreover, there are reports and debates around Southern Europe whether Mailyn or Rosalie will be the next Pope! Perhaps a Lady Pope this time. We’ll see… Hehe :o)

After reflecting in Rome and in Vatican City for a couple of months, I depart Italy for Spain so as to embark on a teaching profession. In Madrid, I was able to teach Elementary Spanish to grade school Level 1 students and at the end of the day I gained enriching and gratifying know-how.

In a sun-drenched Spanish morning, while surfing the World Wide Web to obtain complementary lessons for my adorable grade school students, I was able to read online articles about the most recent women to get to the peak of Mt. Everest. Believe it or not, it was Jean Michelle Barber and Maricris Nataño, my classmates during my college years in St. Paul.

Jean and Maricris are now dynamically advocating the significance of the environment and the surroundings. For instance, the cause of Global Warming at the earth’s highest and coldest region in that can be found in Nepal.

After almost a year of working as a teacher in the grade school, I decided to have a retreat somewhere in the tropics. A beach holiday in Bali.

While walking on the seaside in a resort in Bali, I saw Analyn.

Analyn Untang is now blissfully running her incredibly awe-inspiring health resort and spa in sultry Bali, Indonesia and at the same time, supervising her established school in Sabah for the Filipino Minorities.

After traveling around for almost a decade in search of God’s plan for me, I went home to Iloilo City recollecting all that had happened back in the day and ultimately made me attain self-actualization for my being. Plus at this point in time, Iloilo City has finally regained its label as the Queen City of the South gradually leading the cosmopolitan way of life in the Philippines.

08.08.08: A Day To Remember

Hey everyone!

Oh long lost friends! I've returned to say hi and wish you a blissful once in a lifetime 08.08.08 opportunity today.

Wow it's 08.08.08 today! A day to remember indeed! A once in a lifetime occurrence. As matter of fact, today is also the kick off of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games or the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXIX Olympiad which is being celebrated in Beijing, China beginning at 8:00 on the evening today in the National Stadium (also known as "Bird's Nest") in Beijing until August 24, 2008.

On the other hand, sorry for not posting new info and updates for a while. I've been pretty occupied these past few days. I've been extremely lethargic at the present time perhaps as a result of my night shift duties here at ESPC.

Nonetheless, I am still grateful from up above that He always back me up whenever I feel despondent and throwing in the towel once in a while. Thus, I am thankful that I'm able to pull through in my day to day responsibilities and concerns and feel blessed and satisfied and content at the end of the day.

Other than that, there's not too much to update you on. Fortunately, I'm still working here at ESPC every night... (thank goodness, thank heavens!) Hehe ;o) sure enough, excluding the nighttime of Saturdays and Sundays.

I hope good stuff is coming in my life sometime soon... and I can't wait for it! With a bit of luck... Hehe ;o)

Going back to heritage

Regardless of what culture we are in right now, I believe most of us will still go back to their heritage... to the fundamental culture they were raised up, brought up, or exposed to.

In my case, I grew up into various cultures - Filipino culture (of course), American culture, Spanish culture and the Chinese culture. It was like gulping the Philippines, United States, Spain, and China into my being.

While growing up, I used to imbibe the American Pop Culture especially the US mainstream pop music. Yet, when I reached my teenage years particularly around 15 years old (which is about 5 years before) up till now, I've learned to embrace my Hispanic heritage.

I've learned to appreciate and give importance to its culture and above all, the Castilian and Latin pop music.

In fact, here are some of International Spanish and Latin American artists that I admire and support:

Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Sanz, Marc Anthony and many more.

And I believe by pinning my ears back to their well-defined Hispanic sounds and rhythm, somehow I can live through again my Hispanic culture in my own little way.

Terrifying Terrible Tremor!

While making my prior blog post, early this morning, around past 2 o' clock in the morning on a Saturday, 2nd of August 2008, while we are working instantaneously inside the workplace here at Eversun, we suddenly felt the terrifying earthquake shaking the facilities and the cool grounds of the office. Obviously since we are on the 5th floor of the building.

Meanwhile, after we all felt the extreme sensation of the shaking and trembling floor, we are already getting apprehensive and paranoid of the earthquake's probable upshot and aftermath.

In due course, after the long trembling of the ground, we all managed to get back to work, as well as grateful and delighted that the earthquake stopped and things gets back to normal and everything is alright once again.

On the whole, in one way or another, I believe our providence is all up to the ones up above controlling our existence, and its subsequent upshot really depends on the manner of how we live it.

Where to begin...

I think if you ask me if what my favorite songs are, I would pretty assert that I like inspirational and motivational songs that can positively help me and other young people pull through from the harsh reality and to effectively make a difference in our day to day in existence.

As a matter of fact, I admire those artists that genuinely take action in their own little way so as to produce songs that remarkably feeds the soul of each person who are pinning their ears back to their music.

Through the years, I certainly like the sounds of Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Mandy Moore, Stacie Orrico, Mariah Carey, Avril Lavigne, Vanessa Carlton, Chris Brown, Jesse McCartney, Justin Timberlake, Eminem, and many others.

By and large, some of these artists evidently expresses advocacy and wisdom on their music through their remarkable lyrics and powerful vocals. Thus, they truly established an influential star power which I believe that can incredibly move, inspire and encourage the mainstream to make a difference as well and to subsequently change the world in a little while.

In this lifetime, dogs are considered to be man's best friend. However, in this day and age, dogs are maltreated and abused dreadfully by people who are careless and inconsiderate. Cruelty and brutality is now getting widespread these days.

Some people tend to shoot them, slaughter them and subsequently gets to eat them. It is now becoming a typical violence in many household and communities here in the Philippines or even around the globe.

Nonetheless, these dogs still deserves to be respected and cared by the human beings. If truth be told, human beings has the responsibility in caring and loving these animals.

Everyday in our lives we stumble upon various circumstances that can help us pull through from the numerous factors that can bring us down and keep us weak in a certain moments of time. Yet, life has its own way of reaching out to each and every one of us living and existing day by day in this world prone to lows and highs. Luckily, as we go on we will subsequently discover that of all its complexity, life is still worth living it... Everyday we obtain unexpected blessings and gifts that is sometimes surprisingly enough and overwhelming. Though sometimes it is the other way around too...

On the whole, I reflect that just by keeping the faith from up above plus constantly believing that things will soon be all right and will always be, you will surely make it and you will just be surprised that it is just a matter of perception and make believe. At the end of the day, life is still incredibly awe-inspiring and worth it. Life goes on everyday no matter what.

Hey everyone!

¡Hola! ¡Buenas noches!

¿Cómo está usted mis amigos? Tonight is the night! Believe or not, tonight is my first-ever nighttime work in my entire existence! If truth be told, back in the day, ever since during my college years which actually ended a quarter months ago, I truly didn't want to engaged in a nighttime shift because of several reasons. However, destiny is destiny... Every so often, God would put us in a peculiar journey and we never know where it will take us next... Yet, now is the time for me to undergo and experience the night fever... here in Eversun! Fortunately, the workplace is cozy, relaxing and comforting which can help me out combat the over-stimulating outside world of urbanity. I wish I can endure the stress and worries brought about by my latest undertaking.

I hope this exceptional experience will somehow teach me valuable know-how and knowledge that I will surely treasure for a lifetime. Ultimately, I reflect that life is incredibly surprising and overwhelming. It is amazingly unpredictable and crazy!!!

In this day and age, Mass Media is all over. It surmounts the activity of the people. It shapes, forms and influences the buying decisions of the majority through its incessant advertising schemes bombarding our daily existence and it seems that there is no stopping it. As a result, this leads to the invincible effects of Mass Media to the society and its people.

The effects of Mass Media in the present time is both extraordinary and dreadful. On the positive sense, Mass Media makes the lives of the people at ease, along with Information and Communication Technologies, they produce a breakthrough and innovative standard of living for the people to embrace and to live by.

Yet for the young people especially for the teens, the upshot of Mass Media to their lives is in some manner destructive. Mass Media is by some means damaging their innocence of reality and their genuine perception of the outside world.

Teens of today were consumed by constant media messages. Anywhere they rest their eyes they will be exposed to countless advertising and marketing messages. Predominantly, the entertainment media largely influences these young people to act and behave in a certain way that will subsequently be accepted by the society and the people around them.

Mass Media exposes different revolutionary sides of reality and of life. Still, it becomes the most celebrated and widely used by the people in this day and age.

In my own personal estimation, Mass Media goes along with Information and Communication Technology in this day and age so as to mold a new-fangled way of life to the majority living in this global generation.

Mass Media are those media that are created to be consumed by immense number of population worldwide and also a direct contemporary instrument of mass communication.

Nonetheless, Mass Media is considered as the fourth estate of the society as well. It is the fourth branch of the government. The voice and weapon of the people and the society as a whole.

Then again, by and large when we speak about Mass Media, we immediately perceive that these are communications media that reach the mass of people. From Audio recording and reproduction like records, tapes, cassettes, cartridges, CDs, to Broadcasting Media such as Radio, Television, Cable, to Film or Motion Pictures whether in Cinema or in DVDs, and the Digital Media, the Internet, Mobile Phones, Satellite, and ultimately the Publishing or Print Media which includes Books, Newspapers, Magazines and the run-of-the-mill marvelous Video games.

Needless to say, whatever we have in mind about Mass Media, on th whole, it is all about innovation and modernity that is continually evolving and producing ways to speed up the way humanity is subsisting.

These days, there are already numerous types of Mass Media. This includes Audio recording and reproduction (records, tapes, cassettes, cartridges, CDs), Broadcasting Media (Radio, Television, Cable) Film (Cinema, DVDs), Digital Media (the Internet, Mobile Phones, Satellite), Publishing or the Print Media (Books, Newspapers, Magazines) and Video games.

The Audio recording and reproduction pertains to the various music and sound media. Back in the day, there are only basic kinds of audio equipments such as microphones, recording devices and loudspeakers. Then, it was followed by tape recorders, and the legendary vinyl LP record. The invention of compact cassettes as well as the music cassettes paved the way to the groundbreaking and innovative form of music entertainment which is still used in this day and age by numerous music aficionados worldwide. Next, it was followed by Sony's Walkman which further advanced the degree of music entertainment spread. The invention of digital recording and compacts disc (CD) produces exceptional quality of sound reproduction. The most recent developments have been the digital audio/music players such as the MP3 player and Apple's i-Pod. Internet is a powerful type of Mass Media. The world is now a global village because of the Internet. Nowadays, you can obtain countless up-to-date information and services worldwide and you can send up-to-the-minute messages in just a split second through electronic mail (e-mail), online chat, and browsing to loads of web pages and other documents.

Mobile phones are by now a global trend. Often called the seventh Mass Media.

Publishing or the Print Media is mundane to us for centuries now. It encompasses books, pamphlets, newspapers, magazines.

Video games are the favorite pastime of people nowadays, young and old alike. Actually, there are various types of games: the Computer game or the PC game which is played on a personal computer, the Console game which is played with the use of a device and a standard television set, Arcade game which is usually played in establishments such as in Internet Cafés, Gaming Centers, and the like where pay to play or play per use is carried out. And the Video game which is can also be played in mobile phone, PDAs, and advanced calculators.

Those were the different types of Mass Media in the 21st century, in this global generation era where digital globalization is taking place perpetually, and the forms of Mass Media is increasingly widespread and expectantly procreating.
